49th Annual

Since 1960, this annual event offers vendor and food booths, live entertainment, 5K run, kid games, and a street dance. As well as a rodeo, class reunions, chili and brisket cook-off, horseshoe and washer tournaments, parade, and many other activities throughout the day. This fun family event occurs annually every Memorial Day weekend starting with a two day rodeo kicking off on Friday and Saturday nights at 7:30 pm and Saturday events beginning with the 5K run starting at 8:00 am. So mark your calendars & tell your friends about Gustine’s homecoming weekend May 22 & 23.

2009 Gustine Homecoming Scholarship Application

To promote volunteerism among our local young men and women, the Gustine Homecoming Committee will be awarding two $500.00 scholarships to a Gustine graduating senior (one to a boy and one to a girl) who has demonstrated a commitment to continuing their education after graduation by attending a college or university.

To apply, the candidate must submit the completed application and all required attachments by April 1, 2009.

The winner will be announced at graduation. If the scholarship winner does not prove receipt in to a college or university by October 31, 2009, the grant is rescinded and will be awarded to another applicant. Proof of payment for books or tuition totaling $500.00 will be sufficient in fulfilling scholarship terms.

The Gustine Homecoming Committee is in the planning stages of the 49^th Annual Gustine Homecoming held Memorial Day Weekend. We are asking businesses and merchants in and around the area to consider participating in this planning process by donating items that will be used as prizes in many events. These donations will provide an extra draw to get a much needed interest back in the community homecoming. Areas where donations would be appreciated: Art Show, Bakeoff, BBQ Cook-off, Tournaments, Kids Game Prizes, Treasure Hunt, & 5K Run.
